Cartes Postales have been the only way we have found out that some villages did have a Sully tree in the past. Above is copy of a carte postale of Lizant, (Vienne). Below is a modern photo showing the same view. By looking at web sites with a collection of cartes postales we have managed to identify several others villages which have had a Sully tree. More examples below. (2019 update. The trees at Salives and Rouvres-sur-Aube are still alive and well!)
